Accomplishments

  1. Accepted into East Carolina’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program beginning in May 2026.
  2. Completed and presented a two year research project in collaboration with Dr. Van der Veen of the ECU DPT program as her undergraduate research assistant.
  3. Studied abroad in Perth, Australia for 5 months and created an adaptive field day for children with disabilities in the community. Created and ran a successful personal training program for an individual in Australia.
  4. Was employed as a rehabilitation technician for three years in neuro, traumatic brain injury, acute care, pediatrics, oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation units while being enrolled in courses in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
  5. Obtained an ACE Group Fitness Certification and taught cycle and strength classes at ECU.
  6. Vice president of the Kinesiology Majors’ Club.
  7. Obtained a scuba diving certification through ECU’s KINE 2278 course.
  8. Reached my third year of volunteering as a pen pal for hospice patients.
