Accomplishments
- Accepted into East Carolina’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program beginning in May 2026.
- Completed and presented a two year research project in collaboration with Dr. Van der Veen of the ECU DPT program as her undergraduate research assistant.
- Studied abroad in Perth, Australia for 5 months and created an adaptive field day for children with disabilities in the community. Created and ran a successful personal training program for an individual in Australia.
- Was employed as a rehabilitation technician for three years in neuro, traumatic brain injury, acute care, pediatrics, oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation units while being enrolled in courses in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
- Obtained an ACE Group Fitness Certification and taught cycle and strength classes at ECU.
- Vice president of the Kinesiology Majors’ Club.
- Obtained a scuba diving certification through ECU’s KINE 2278 course.
- Reached my third year of volunteering as a pen pal for hospice patients.
