Accomplishments

  1. Accepted a job offer at ECU Health Medical Center in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) after graduation.
  2. Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi – Spring 2026
  3. Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing – Beta Nu Chapter – Fall 2025
  4. ECU College of Nursing Guatemala Study Abroad Program – Summer 2025: Provided free health prevention and promotion clinics taking vital signs, blood sugars, and performing head-to-toe assessments to Guatemalan natives. Taught community health concepts regarding household hygiene, contraceptive use, handwashing, teeth brushing, and importance of maintaining good personal hygiene. Volunteered at Hospitalito Atitlán and Casa Jackson Hospital for Malnourished Children.
  5. Completed The Signature Honors Project. Studied the therapeutic role and efficacy of exercise as a stress management technique among baccalaureate nursing students at East Carolina University. 
  6. Received The David L. and Elizabeth Reese Ward Honors Nursing Endowed Scholarship – Fall 2023.
