Accomplishments

  1. Served as Co-founder and Vice President of ECU’s Dental Brigades, where we provided citizens of Panama with free dental care to help them receive the oral health services they deserved.
  2. Served as an Honors College Ambassador and Mentor, where I guided pre-professional students and provided shadowing opportunities in hopes of helping them develop the same passion for ECU that I have.
  3. Presented collaborative research with the North Carolina Oral Health Collaborative and ECU’s School of Dental Medicine at RCAW this semester, sharing findings on Expanded Function Dental Assistants and the potential implementation of this role in North Carolina.
  4. Secured employment as a dental assistant in Wilmington, NC, where I continue to build clinical experience and strengthen my preparation for dental school applications in the upcoming cycle.
  5. Member of the Pre-Dental Honors Society for the past four years and Smile Squad for the past three years. 
  6. Over the past year, I have volunteered with Special Olympics, supporting athletes in bocce ball and track & field events.
