Darshan Patel

Darshan Patel is a senior in the Honors College, majoring in exercise physiology and minoring in psychology on the pre-dental track. He has served as president of ECU Dental Brigades, president of ECU Club Tennis, SGA vice chair of Elections Commission, and vice president of the Honors College Student Council. This year, he will transition into club advisor for Dental Brigades and join the Club Sports Council. Darshan conducts undergraduate research through ECU’s Sports and Community Development Lab, where he serves as primary author on a project examining sense of community and well-being among pickleball participants, and he has done research in a biochemistry lab. He volunteers with the Hyde County Outreach Clinic, an ECU School of Dental Medicine facility meant to train D4 students and serve the people of Hyde County. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, and spending time with friends. As an Honors College Ambassador, he is excited to welcome future students and share how the Honors College has enriched his academic, leadership, and service experiences at ECU.
