Riya Verma

Riya Verma is a student in the Honors College, majoring in biology, with a minor in Spanish on a pre-pharmacy track. On campus, Riya serves as an ECU Ambassador and is involved in organizations including MedPals, EC Utsav, and the Pre-pharmacy Club, where she enjoys connecting with students who share similar interests in healthcare, leadership, and culture. She is passionate about pharmacy and patient education and hopes to pursue a career focused on improving patient outcomes and helping others better understand their medication and overall health. Outside of campus involvement, Riya works as a certified pharmacy technician, where she has developed strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, along with extensive hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. In her free time, she enjoys trying new coffee/food places, listening to music, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and dancing. She also enjoys meeting new people and creating welcoming environments for others through her outgoing personality and campus involvement.
