oSTEM meeting
oSTEM would like to invite all STEM majors to our first meeting tomorrow at 6pm in Howell 0N107. oSTEM is an pre-professional society for LGBT + ally STEM majors interested in learning about diversity within the STEM community while also socializing with like-minded peers, receiving academic help, and career-focused assistance. oSTEM provides a plethora of opportunities from local engagement by volunteering to presenting research at national conferences with companies such as NASA, Boening, and the CIA present. This organization is open to ALL undergraduate and graduate students from degrees including (but not limited to!) biology, neuroscience, pre-medicine, mathematics, engineering, and computer science.
We will be discussing the purpose and goals of oSTEM as an ECU chapter, future events, and also receive input regarding future events. If you want to learn more about oSTEM, voice your opinions about the direction of the organization, or just meet other LGBT + ally STEM peers, come on out to Howell 0N107 tomorrow ( September 10th, 2019 ) at 6pm.
