Seeking bilingual students with farm work experience for funded advisory panel
For a National Institutes of Health/National Library of Medicine G08 Health Disparities Resources Grant that we received in a collaboration between Laupus Library and the College of Health and Human Performance’s Department of Health Education and Promotion, I would appreciate your help finding two students to participate in an Advisory Panel.
As part of this grant, I am seeking two undergraduate students who are ideally in their first or second year to participate in an Advisory Panel for the grant. Both students should be English/Spanish bilingual and come from a family that has experience with migrant or seasonal farm work. The Advisory Panel will help us review materials designed for farmworkers and give feedback on training activities in one day-long meeting per year over the next three years . We will be able to compensate Advisory Panel members $1,000 per year. The summary of the grant is described below my signature.
If you know of a student who might be interested and fits these requirements, please forward this to them. They should reach out to me to schedule an interview. I can be contacted at leejose14@ecu.edu or 328-4661.
