MedServe Fellowship application opens Oct. 1
MedServe places future physicians in “rock star” primary care clinics across rural and other medically underserved communities to serve in both a clinical and community role. Fellows work in both a clinical role (e.g. as a medical assistant) and community role (e.g. as a health coach). They currently have 51 Fellows serving across the state. Their fellowship is a two-year service-learning fellowship for recent graduates interested in health careers, especially pre-med and pre-PA students. MedServe is recruiting its fifth class of Fellows. Perks of the fellowship include:
- $20,000 living stipend
- 2 week training institute in Chapel Hill, NC at UNC Med
- Personalized med school application support and preparation
- Quarterly trainings across the state in Charlotte, Asheville & Greenville
