Upcoming Deadlines for Scholarships/Fellowships

Critical Languages Scholarship: Nov. 19

  • The CLS program provides full funding for immersive foreign study of a ‘critical’ foreign language, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu. The majority of these options do not require previous language study, and most of the remainder require only one year of previous study. Humanity in Action Fellowship: Jan. 5

  • The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of current college and university students and recent graduates to explore compelling, current issues of liberal democracy, pluralism, human rights, and social justice within the specific historical and cultural contexts of each of the program sites – Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Sarajevo, Warsaw, and Atlanta. Intensive and demanding, the on-site programs are an educational space for transatlantic dialogue, reflection, and informed action. Fellows complete ‘Action Projects’ in the second phase of their fellowship experience to promote democratic values in their own communities.

The HiA Fellowship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates who are passionate about active citizenship, diversity, and human rights. The program itself is fully funded; Fellows must cover their own transportation costs (financial support is available for those in need).  For more information and to apply, visit https://www.humanityinaction.org/apply-from-the-usa/
