Voyages of Discovery student session with Dr. R.K.M. Jayanty

Once again, the Voyages of Discovery Series has set aside time for students to meet with Dr. R.K.M. Jayanty for an informal discussion.

This meeting will occur on Thursday, November 7 at 2:30pm, in Bate 1006 (the conference room). Needless to say, this is a unique opportunity to visit with Dr. Jayanty.

Dr. R.K.M. Jayanty is a chemist and Distinguished Fellow emeritus for RTI International, who now serves as an adjunct professor of biological and agricultural engineering at NC State. Jayanty has advanced state-of-the art measurement of toxic pollutants, which has enabled agencies to meet important regulatory goals, provide the scientific basis for international adoption of methods for pollution control, and protect human health and the environment. In 2017, Jayanty was awarded the NC Medal for Science by Governor Roy Cooper.

Light refreshments will be served.

Please let Dr. Todd Fraley (fraleyt@ecu.edu) know by Thursday, Oct. 31 if you would like to attend.
