Light refreshments will be served.
Please let Dr. Todd Fraley (fraleyt@ecu.edu) know by Wednesday, March 18 if you would like a ticket.
Libby Riddles was a virtually unknown musher when the 1985 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race began. When the race ended, she was an international celebrity and the first woman to win the world’s most significant dog sled race. She finished the 1,135-mile trail in 18 days, 20 minutes and 17 seconds, three hours faster than the second-place finisher, bringing instant fame to the race and becoming an inspiration for many. Currently, she lives in Fritz Creek, Alaska, and continues to raise and train sled dogs.
