Invitation to attend Dr. Damon Tweedy event at Meredith College

Event:  Dr. Damon Tweedy (doctor, lawyer and author of “Black Man in a White Coat”) will be speaking on “A doctor’s reflection on race and medicine.”  

When:  7 pm, March 17, 2020

Where:  Jones Auditorium, Meredith College, Raleigh

The event is free and open to the public and will be of immense interest to pre-health students and advisers.

Dr. Tweedy grew up in Baltimore and attended Towson University for his undergrad and Duke University for medical school. He wrote the book “Black Man in a White Coat” which chronicles his experience in med school and the barriers he faced due to race. It also explores health disparities in rural NC.
