Virtual Job Fairs

ECU Career Services will be hosting several virtual job fairs during the fall 2020 semester using the job management system Handshake. Because this is a new platform for ECU students, Career Services has created a comprehensive toolkit that will assist students in preparing for these upcoming events.

Included in the preparation kit is a 5-minute overview video and a virtual career fair checklist students can follow to learn the steps needed for a successful experience during these virtual events with hiring employers.

Some of the key features that distinguish the virtual fair process in Handshake include:

Pre-registration will be required for all students attending
Once registered, students will have access to sign up for 1-on-1 and group sessions with employers
Employers will be able to review and contact students before and after the virtual fairs as well as review the student’s Handshake profile and resume

Career Services staff are available to conduct live or recorded presentations for students to help prepare them for these upcoming events. To request a classroom presentation click here.
