The Lookout: ECU Undergraduate Research Journal, wants submissions from you! Open to all undergraduate students, The Lookout is a research-based journal that is edited and published by students at East Carolina University. We are accepting research papers in ALL disciplines for consideration. We also accept artwork for the cover and other sections of the journal.

This year, we are interested in creating a special section that highlights living in 2020 including topics such as managing during a pandemic, moving to online school and work, taking care of self and others, taking a stand on social justice, preparing to vote, and other experiences. These works can be research papers, argument or opinion pieces, creative fiction or non-fiction, art, or other genres.

Real journal: Library of Congress ISSN (Print): 2372-580X ISSN (Online): 2372-5834 with sevenprevious issues
Great for resumes, portfolios, and CVs for graduate school
Complimentary copy of The Lookout Vol. 8 (the journal is also published in electronic format)

Submission

All format and citation styles accepted (APA, Chicago, MLA preferred)
Page Length: up to 20 pages (not including works cited)
Abstracts/Summary (less than 200 words)
No anonymous papers
Art should be submitted as a high-quality jpeg.
