Applied Research Job Opportunities for Undergrad Students
The ECU Center for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering (CSE3 https://cet.ecu.edu/cse3/ ) has multiple current projects funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The projects aim to reduce pollution, conserve water, and save energy through lean and green practices in the food and beverage processing, chemical manufacturing, and metal manufacturing and fabrication industries in North Carolina.
Currently, 2-3 applied real world research opportunities are available for undergraduate students during the 2021-22 academic year.
Each student is expected to work roughly 10hrs/week. Working days and hours can be arranged around the student’s schedule with the CSE3 Director, Dr. Tarek Abdel Salam. Sophomores and Juniors are preferred. Freshman students will be considered if they have some prior experience. Starting date could be as early as mid-August. If interested, please send your resume by email to Dr. Tarek Abdel-Salam at abdelsalamt@ecu.edu.
