Call for student papers extended! The Lookout: A Journal of Undergraduate Research

The deadline for submissions of student papers to The Lookout was been extended.

Please forward the call to students in your classes and encourage them to submit papers from any course or semester for the TENTH issue of The Lookout: A Journal of Undergraduate Research at ECU.

The Lookout is designed, edited, managed, and published each fall by students enrolled in ENGL 3870: Introduction to Editing and Publishing. The student editors are from a variety of disciplines.

The Lookout wants submissions from you! Open to all undergraduate students, The Lookout is a research-based journal that is edited and published by students at East Carolina University. We are accepting

research papers in ALL disciplines for consideration
creative work including short stories, poetry, realistic fiction, creative non-fiction
artwork for the cover and other sections of the journal.

Real journal: Library of Congress ISSN (Print): 2372-580X ISSN (Online): 2372-5834 with nine previous issues
Great for resumes, portfolios, and CVs for graduate school
A complimentary copy of The Lookout Vol. 10 (the journal is also published in electronic format)

Submissions

All format and citation styles accepted (APA, Chicago, MLA preferred)
Page Length: Open, 3- 10 pages optimal (not including works cited)
Abstracts/Summary (less than 200 words)
No anonymous papers
Art should be submitted as a high-quality jpeg. Cover art will be printed in color; inside art will be printed in black and white
