STEM-Corps East 2021 Fall Recruitment

The AmeriCorps/STEM-Corps East program within East Carolina University’s College of Education have paid service fellowship opportunities to offer students and community members!  Below is program information and our flyer is attached. Please share this opportunity with students or anyone you believe would be interested. We are also available for brief classroom and organization presentations (5-10mins). STEM-Corps East is an AmeriCorps program focused on national service that supports in-school/afterschool tutoring and STEM enrichment activities with local schools and non-profits. Our goal is to provide paid fellowship opportunities to support our youth and their academic achievement. Our goal is to serve over 1,000 students in our local communities! Applications are on-going be see priority deadlines below.

2021-2022 Priority Deadlines  

  • Fall: November 12th   
  • Spring: February 11th 
  • Summer: April 22nd 

Service Requirements 

  • Must be 17 years and U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien.
  • Be able to successfully complete a national service criminal history check
  • Have a high school diploma/equivalency or agree to obtain a high school diploma/ equivalent before using the award.
  • Must commit to completing a service term to receive the education award
