2022-2023 Presidential Scholar Position Announcement
The Presidential Scholar program is a one-year full time rotational fellowship awarded to three (3) December 2021/May 2022 graduates of a UNC System undergraduate baccalaureate program. This program provides a wide range of exposure to the UNC System Office including but not limited to: communications, policy, data & analytics, government relations, budgeting, system governance, academic and student affairs. This position is ideal for new professionals who are passionate about making equity-minded change to better serve their communities through a variety of avenues. Scholars will be engaged in operational functions, research higher education topics, serve as support staff to a variety of councils/committees, and provide valuable insight on System Office policy and initiatives.
Purpose
The purpose of the UNC Presidential Scholar program is to provide recent graduates of the UNC System with the unique opportunity to participate in a wide-variety of projects, to build a professional network, and to refine professional development skills in preparation for the next step in their careers and/or academic endeavors.

Minimum Qualifications:
Presidential Scholars must be a recipient of a December 2021 or May 2022 baccalaureate degree from a constituent institution within the University of North Carolina system.
Compensation
Recipients of this position will earn a wage of $18/hour for 40 hours per week.
