LGBT Health Awareness Week: March 28-April 1

The Health Sciences Sexual and Gender Diversity Committee (SGDC) invites you to join us March 28 to April 1, when we will mark LGBT Health Awareness Week. Our schedule includes the events below; please click on the links for more information and to RSVP on Engage.

 

Health Fair, Monday, March 28 from 10 am to 2 pm
Come to the Health Sciences Campus Student Center for a free blood pressure check, confidential HIV testing (courtesy of PiCASO), mental health screening, and other information about wellness and resources.

Virtual keynote presentation from Equality NC, Tuesday, March 29 at Noon
Kendra R. Johnson, Executive Director for Equality North Carolina, will share information about the current legal state of affairs in North Carolina impacting LGBTQ patients. This will be a virtual presentation via WebEx.

Drs. Colby Dendy and Brigid Wilson will present about providing care for LGBTQ+ patients in our region.
