Attend next week's Jean Mills Symposium – April 8th

The 17th Annual Jean Mills Symposium will be held on Friday, April 8th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the East Carolina Heart Institute.

The free symposium focuses on the impact of race and racial disparities on the physical, emotional, and social well-being of minoritized people of eastern North Carolina.

This year’s guest speaker is Dr. Irma Corral, the assistant dean for Diversity and Inclusion at the Brody School of Medicine. She is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, where she also serves as the director of the Division of Behavioral Medicine.

During the event, there will also be podium presentations.
