Banned Books Read Out - Sept. 20th

Banned Books Week (Sept. 18-24): A national annual celebration of the freedom to read.

Join us for a Banned Books Read Out on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 3:30 p.m. in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery on the second floor of the main campus library.

This is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. The Read Out highlights the value of free and open access to information.

The event will include a short lecture/discussion and allow students the opportunity to read passages from banned books they find meaningful. Librarians will be present to lead commentary on why some books are considered controversial. Refreshments will be provided.
