Paid Research Experience at ECU in Ellis Lab
The Ellis lab is accepting students who would be interested in running PCR in the lab. They would get lab experience and a part-time job, with the possibility of taking on more work in the lab.
The work will require:
- 5-10 hours a week, rate of ~12$/hr
- Commitment to commute to the medical campus and remain for several consecutive hours during the 8-5 Mon-Fri work week schedule (i.e. does course schedule permit?)
- PCR work is very universal in research, but requires skills of precision, attention to detail, and organization.
- Students with a science-based major and lab experience are preferred (lab courses and/or lab work in a research setting).
- Students at the sophomore or junior level are preferred, with the intention of continuing the work for more than 1 year.
- Students can contact Dr. Jessica Ellis directly ellisje18@ecu.edu with their major, lab experience, and time slots available.
