Owned by Honors College grad McKenzie Shelton,Embody Media & Design was founded in Greenville and now operates all over Eastern NC and the Triangle. We craft marketing strategies for small businesses and our work spans website design and SEO, photography, videography, graphic design, social media, paid ads and the like. Some of our clients include Byrd’s BBQ, Ella West Gallery, Traditions-Delivered, Last Rocket Home, Wild Pansy Farm, Community School of Digital & Visual Arts and more. 

Embody Media & Design is looking for curious, creative, communicative folks to freelance with us on an hourly basis. Social Media & Paid Ads Manager

We don’t want to hire you just because you’re young and tech savvy – we want to invest in a digital storyteller who loves to connect with people, figure out what makes them tick and tell stories about the growth happening in small businesses. Ideally you are:

  • Drawn to multiple forms of digital storytelling — video, photo, writing, commenting, and any other form of multimedia engagement
  • Have experience with making and monitoring ads on Instagram, Facebook, and Google, or you’re excited about learning how
  • Enjoy researching new ideas for social engagement and collaborating to implement them

Website & SEO Designer

Website design is a fascinating confluence of arts and technical know-how, informational organization and psychology. Ideally you:

  • Have experience in code-free websites builders like Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, etc. (if you have coding knowledge, that’s cool but not required)
  • Have graphic design experience
  • Know what “SEO” stands for or you researched it and thought it sounds interesting
  • Are curious about how people become interested in a subject and how to use design to magnetize people and optimize the online experience
