Volunteer as a tutor at Wellcome Middle School with AMEXCAN

The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Inc (AMEXCAN), in collaboration with Wellcome Middle School, cordially invites you to participate as a volunteer tutor in our “Amigos Sin Fronteras: Friends without Borders” Tutoring Program at Wellcome Middle School. Starting on October 15^th, the tutoring sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45 pm.

At AMEXCAN & Wellcome Middle School, our shared commitment lies in fostering academic excellence and providing unwavering support to students on their educational journey. We welcome dedicated community volunteers who share our passion for ensuring that all students have equitable access to tutoring services.

As a volunteer tutor, you will have the unique opportunity to:

Assist students with their homework and class assignments
Provide additional support in challenging subjects
Cultivate a positive learning environment
Stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Establish meaningful connections with students
