Mallorca, Spain June 11-19, 2025
Program Description: Explore how humans have connected with and impacted the ecosystems of Mallorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands of the Mediterranean. Meet the staff of Save the Mediterranean and learn about their efforts to reduce plastics and protect and redevelop the region’s marine ecosystems. Experience the beautiful geography as we travel along mountainous areas, gorges, and cliffs. Immerse yourself in the charm of Old Town Palma, swim in the blue hole, kayak to Sa Dragonera Island, snorkel the pristine waters of Cabrera Island. By studying how humans interact and connect with nature, ocean literacy and stewardship will be promoted.
Highlighted Excursions:
- Snorkel the blue caves and crystal blue waters around Cabrera Island.
- Visit the Tramuntana Mountains, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Kayak to and explore the island of Dragonera, enjoying the magnificent views.
- Discover the beaches of Formentor on a day cruise in the Mediterranean Sea
