Volunteer Activites
Screening: Brigade staff will provide dental screening training to all volunteers. During the next day, volunteers will then work alongside staff to screen patients in the community.
Clinic: Volunteers will have an interactive role by participating in tasks that include shadowing licensed dentists, delivering post-op care instructions, and conducting children’s education workshops.
Informatics: Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with community volunteers to log the date of visit and patients’ name, age, gender and community residence.
Health Education: Volunteers have the opportunity to organize and lead adult’s and children’s dental health education workshops, which include teeth brushing, flossing, fluoride treatments, and dental care.
To make this brigade successful and affordable for volunteers, they need dental supplies and monetary support.
