Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Meléndez on April 2

On behalf of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, we are excited to invite you to a talk featuring Dr. Priscilla Meléndez, a leading scholar in Spanish American Theater. This event is part of the Linda E. McMahon Distinguished Lecture Series.

Dr. Meléndez will present her talk, “Usurping, Buying, Destroying: Puerto Rico’s Ecological and Political Erosions in Teresa Hernández’ Wandering Performance,” which addresses critical issues including Puerto Rico’s ecological crises, governmental mismanagement, and the cultural impacts of colonialism and exploitation as portrayed through the performances of Teresa Hernández.
