Sport Science in Spain 2026 Summer Abroad applications now open

Sport Science in Spain (Barcelona and Madrid) is a summer study abroad program with Dr. Murray and Dr. Rider. Students is now open for applications!

Sport Performance Science aims to help athletes perform at their best. Sport organizations and universities in Spain are globally recognized as leaders in this scientific discipline. As part of our study abroad program, graduate and undergraduate students will analyze and evaluate technology and methods to measure human performance in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. This program offers a unique opportunity to investigate Sport Science approaches in football (Soccer), Basketball, and F1 at globally recognized sport organizations.  Students will discover modern approaches to skill development in sport, sports psychology, and explore perspectives on biomechanics and movement science from industry professionals. 

Our itinerary features visits to professional sport organizations, historical sites, and sport science academic centers in Madrid and Barcelona;  including a tour of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, a visit to the iconic Camp Nou, a Paella cooking class, hiking to the Monserrat Monastery, and seeing La Sagrada Familia.
