Apps open for Mass General Brigham summer programs – Close Feb. 1
Applications are open November 17, 2025 through February 1, 2026 for two of Mass General Brigham’s summer programs. Rising Stars in Science and Medicine and Four Directions Summer Research are two immersive summer opportunities designed to train the next generation of researchers, clinicians and leaders in academic medicine and biomedical science.
MGB Rising Stars in Science and Medicine
Program dates: June 1-July 24, 2026
This program offers mentored research with MGB and HMS faculty, professional development workshops and networking across Boston’s academic medical community.
Eligibility:
- undergraduate rising seniors, seniors, pre-med and first-year medical students
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- strong interest in research, academic medicine or community health
- priority for students from disadvantaged backgrounds
MGB Four Directions Summer Research Program
Program dates: June 1-July 24, 2026
Students will participate in mentored research, shadowing experiences and cultural and professional development activities grounded in Indigenous health and leadership.
Eligibility:
- undergraduate rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and first-year medical students
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- demonstrated commitment to the health of Native American communities
- priority for students from disadvantaged backgrounds
