Farm2Clinic seeking spring 2026 volunteers
ECU’s Farm2Clinic is seeking volunteers to assist in providing food and nutrition programming to our rural, Eastern North Carolina communities! Farm2Clinic is an ECU initiative to promote health in rural ENC communities through food and health literacy education and culinary and food as medicine programming.
If you are interested in volunteering, please attend the volunteer interest meeting December 9th, Health Sciences Building Room 2305. They will be holding a 9:00am and a 4:00pm session — choose whichever works best for your end-of-year schedule!

Opportunities for Students
- Community service events (provide health and nutrition education, fresh food, screenings, cooking demonstrations) in rural communities
- Delivery of medically tailored food bags to rural community members with elevated nutrition and health risk
- Fundraising – volunteer with commercial cooking events that generate revenue to support F2C (e.g., summer kids camps, spring cooking events)
- Fresh Start program support – assist with recruitment of new participants, train to assist in enrolling new participants, health/clinical assessments, community group classes, train to provide 1-on-1 patient support, food delivery
- Applied clinical/health research opportunities
- Design materials (education and marketing/promotion), marketing/outreach/social media support
