Honors College December 2025 Donation Drive

The Honors College is hosting a donation drive for the ECU Health Medical Food Pantry from December 1 – December 9, 2025! 

When you donate 10 of the items listed below, you will be entered into a giveaway from some cool prizes. For every additional donation of five items, you will be awarded one extra entry. There will be 5 total winners who will be randomly selected at the end of the drive.

Donations are being collected in the Mamie Jenkins in the student lounge (located near the bathrooms) from December 1-9 during times the building is accessible (7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday). If you are donating between 5:30-10 p.m., you must use your 1 Card to enter Mamie Jenkins! There will be instructions for logging your donation at drop off with a QR code for you to scan to fill out information for your donation and entry into the giveaway! The instructions for donation drop-off are below and will also be posted at the drop-off site.

The highly needed items that are being collected are:

  • low sodium packaged/canned chicken
  • low sodium packaged/canned tuna
  • low sodium canned vegetables
  • canned fruit in 100% juice
  • macaroni and cheese
  • granola bars
  • rice
  • whole grain cereal

Prizes you can win:

  • Beats headphones
  • Nespresso machine
  • Kindle
  • pickleball paddle set
  • Owala water bottle

Donation Drive Drop-Off Instructions

  1. Put the items you are donating into a bag (if they are not already in one).
  2. Tie the bag closed.
  3. Grab a blank sticker that is on the table for each bag that you are donating. Clearly write your name on the stickers, and put your name on every bag that is a part of your donation.
  4. Scan and fill out the QR code at the donation area.

Following the drop-off instructions correctly is extremely important for making sure that we are able to accurately keep track of who donated what for entries into the giveaway. HCSC will check donations frequently and cross examine them with the information you provide when you fill out the QR form, so please make sure you answer the questions correctly!
