New film course – GLST 2520
“Topics in Global Cinema: Voice and Identity in African Film” introduces students to aesthetic and formal aspects of African cinema across a diverse cross-section of West African cultures and traditions, from Senegal to Mali, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin, New Orleans, Martinique and Haiti.
Enhance your global understanding through the exploration of major developments in world cinema (national cinemas, movements, genres, directors, etc.) throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries!
The class is Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-3:15 p.m. and is taught by Dr. Renée Altergott (altergottr24@ecu.edu). The CRN is 34686 and offers humanities credit.
