Volunteer as a judge for NCTSA regional conference on Jan. 31
North Carolina TSA and CET are seeking volunteers from education, business, and industry to serve as judges for our 2026 Regional North Carolina Technology Student Association Conference being held on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The program runs 9:00 am – 4:30 pm on the 31st on ECU’s campus. This is a meaningful way to support motivated middle and high school students as they showcase their skills in engineering, technology, leadership, design, and innovation. Competitions range from Career Prep to Coding. Children’s Stories to Drones, Architectural Design, Music Production, and Robotics. In order to make this experience successful, we need help from many volunteers. Students, student groups, faculty, and staff members are all welcome to help with this event. The following options are available for volunteer shifts:
- Judge: As a judge, you’ll directly interact with talented, driven middle and high school students while bringing real-world insight to their competitive events. Even a few hours of your time can have a lasting impact, and your participation strengthens STEM education across North Carolina. (time commitment 10:00 am-2:00 pm)
- Lunch Volunteer: Assist with distributing lunches to participants (anticipated commitment 11 am-1pm)
- Bus Greeter: Assist with welcoming participants to ECU and answering basic directional questions (anticipated commitment 7:45 am-9:00 am)
If you are available and would be willing to donate a time on a Saturday, we would love to have you. Please fill out this form to let us know your interest and provide us with your contact information. Information will be sent out closer to the start of the event regarding report times, locations and general FAQs. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to Holly Buck, Pathway Program Coordinator at perryho21@ecu.edu.
