Deadline for MedServe is Feb. 15, 2026
MedServe is a paid, full-time, two-year clinical fellowship designed for recent graduates who want to be intentional about how they spend the years before professional school.
Fellows serve in high-impact primary care clinics across North Carolina’s rural and medically underserved communities—working alongside physicians, PAs, and care teams in both clinical roles (often as medical assistants) and community-focused roles that address patient needs beyond the exam room.
Many Fellows apply while still deciding whether medicine or PA is the right path, and use their two years at MedServe to gain clarity, confidence, and meaningful hands-on experience.
Fellowship highlights include:
- $24,000/year living stipend & $7,395 education award
- full-time clinical experience in primary care (not shadowing or volunteering)
- personalized med school/PA school application support
- statewide trainings and mentorship
- access to a strong alumni network of providers and current trainees
