Apply to the next Honors Makers Curator! Apps due Feb. 16

Do you love art, creativity and helping others bring their bold ideas to life? The ECU Honors College is now accepting applications for the next Makers Curator — the student leader behind our Honors Art Makers Program.

As the curator, you’ll guide a cohort of student artists through a year-long, paid residency experience that celebrates visual and performing arts across all majors. Makers act as art ambassadors for the college and are given resources and mentorship to share their work with the community.

What exactly does this curator do?

  • Mentor and support student artists throughout the year
  • Lead critiques, one-on-one check-ins and meetings
  • Help plan showcases and experiences
  • Work with Dr. Diane Majewski to plan the Makers experience, including deciding on a theme for the year, creating the application for prospective Makers and selecting the next cohort
  • Be an active member in the Honors College Student Leadership group (The Big Five)

This is a unique leadership opportunity for anyone interested in art, arts administration, curation or creative leadership. Applications are open until Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
