Add a Global Health Certificate to your degree!
The Global Health Certificate provides students a foundational understanding of global public health core concepts. Students will be trained to engage in global health research and practice to promote health access and utilization in diverse global settings and populations.
This is open to all majors and only takes 12 credit hours to complete.
Course Requirements
There are two core courses required:
- HLTH 3520 – Introduction to Global Health
- HLTH 4520 – Current Issues in Global Public Health
You can take 2-3 of these elective courses to complete the certificate:
- ANTH 3352 – A Medical Anthropology Approach to Global Health Today
- HLTH 4800 – Public Health Study Abroad
- POLS 3140 – Politics of Globalization
- SOCI 1050 – Global Understanding: Sociological Perspectives
