What does it mean to you to be selected as a 40 Under Forty honoree?

I am honored to be selected as a 40 under 40 honoree, as I believe it reflects my deep dedication to ECU and my passion for helping students connect communication, leadership, and creativity into real-world careers.

Looking back, what moment during your time at ECU had the biggest impact on your career path?

My internship on the set of ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover launched my career and passion for public relations and making a difference in my community.

Is there a professor or mentor at ECU that still influences you today?

Dr Todd Fraley exudes the purple and gold spirit and is making a significant positive impact for students, alumni, and faculty at the Honors College. Because of his leadership, I am serving as the Vice Chancellor of the Alumni Relations Committee for the Honors College on the Advancement Council today!

What accomplishment in your career are you most proud of so far?

At Campbell’s Soup Company, I am proud of shaping national customer experiences for brands like Goldfish, Cape Cod Chips, Pepperidge Farm, and Snyder’s-Lance, while launching the company’s first-ever podcast with my voice and producing over 100 engagement events.

In this role, I received the High 5 Performance Award twice and was recognized by the Mayor of Charlotte for leading a hiring event that connected 300 people with jobs in one day.

What does leadership look like to you?

Leaders empower others with a shared vision for the future. I want to lead a legacy by helping others to achieve their dreams.

Service and social responsibility are central to the 40 Under Forty recognition. How do you strive to make a positive impact in your community?

From driving engagement for 10,000 volunteers on Day of Caring to elevating the impact of sustainability with the Cool Globes award, and more, I strive to support my community where it matters most. However, I am most proud of inspiring a man in prison to change his life.

 What advice would you give current ECU students who want to create meaningful impact in their careers and communities?

Find your superpower, your people, and your passion. AI will not diminish your opportunity to become irreplaceable through your creativity, voice, and impact. When you ignite your superpower, you become indispensable – allowing you to thrive in your community as leadership seeks your contributions to drive success.
