ECU Dental Brigades – Belize 2027 (Interest Meeting Sept. 10th @6pm)

Interested in healthcare, dentistry, global health, or serving communities abroad? ECU Dental Brigades is looking for students from all majors and healthcare interests to join in Belize!

This brigade is a chance to experience healthcare from a global perspective while working directly with communities alongside dental and healthcare professionals. While dentistry and oral health are at the heart of the brigade, students will also explore broader topics such as preventive care, health education, access to healthcare, and the factors that influence community health.

Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to assist with dental work, participate in oral health education, support community outreach, etc., while learning how healthcare professionals work together to address the needs of underserved communities.

You do not have to be a dental student—or even a healthcare major—to participate. Whether you’re interested in dentistry, medicine, nursing, public health, pharmacy, allied health, or simply want to gain meaningful service experience, everyone is welcome.

Beyond the clinical and educational experience, you’ll get to immerse yourself in a new culture, build connections with fellow ECU students, and make an impact in the communities you visit.

📍 Interest Meeting: Sept. 10th at 6pm in MCSC 2nd Floor Gallery
💰 Estimated Cost: Approximately $2,740 (before fundraising)
