What You’ll Do
- Tutor a small, consistent group of K-12 students in reading, math, or postsecondary access during their school day
- Every session comes with a lesson plan. Your job is to deliver it well and learn from it — not to design curriculum from scratch
- Build relationships that help students feel seen, motivated, and more confident in their learning
- Complete 10 hours of self-paced training modules and live, online orientation sessions before you start, then receive ongoing feedback and guidance from your Ignite site leader and TFA staff throughout the semester
- Reflect on your sessions and strengthen your approach week over week
Ideal for Students Who
- Show initiative and follow through on what they start
- Genuinely care about the people around them
- Want to do meaningful work that fits into a real college schedule
- Are open to feedback and willing to grow
- Come from any major and any year — including students with no education background
