Research Participants Needed: Identify as Gender Nonbinary?
Posted on behalf of Kristen Puckett, MS Marriage and Family Therapy, ECU 201
My name is Kristen (they/them/theirs) and I am a graduate student who is working on a study about gender nonconforming individuals’ experiences with gender identity, mental health resources, and social support. I’m looking for participants (18 years or older) to interview for a research study.
The purpose of this research project is to hopefully fill in some of the gaps in the literature about LGBTQ+ communities. More specifically, I will be interviewing 10-15 participants who identify as gender nonbinary, gender fluid, genderqueer, gender nonconforming, and/or use they/them pronouns. Some of the questions that will be asked are how gender nonbinary individuals define their gender, what challenges they face, how they cope with these challenges, and what role family or community factors play in their experiences. Each interview participant will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card.
If you know of anyone who would be willing to participate, my email is puckettk17@students.ecu.edu
