Apply for Conservation Scholars program today

The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program (DDCSP) serves to strengthen the conservation profession by inspiring and educating undergraduate students from across the country who can make significant contributions to broadening the field of conservation. The two-year program creates opportunities for Doris Duke scholars to study conservation issues, participate in land, water, and wildlife conservation research, and intern with conservation projects at environmental non-profits, research universities, and government agencies nationwide.

The DDCSP is administered by five universities: Northern Arizona University, University of California Santa Cruz, University of Florida, University of Michigan, and University of Washington.  With the exception of University of Florida, the program is open to students nationwide. Over the span of two years, Scholars participate in paid summer internships and research opportunities, workshops, and monthly mentoring meetings. Application deadline – February 5th. Apply to the program you’re interested in on that college’s website.

We encourage potential applicants to take a look at all five programs, as offerings and activity locations differ across DDCSP sites.
