Apply for Presidential Scholars & MDG Scholars programs

The Presidential Scholars Program position provides a great opportunity to learn, build your resume and network at a level not available to most recent graduates. Students interested in higher education, law, politics, communication, etc. should be encouraged to consider this opportunity. This program is open to both December 2019 and May 2020 graduates. The salary of the 2020-2021 Presidential Scholars is $18.00 an hour (Presidential Scholars Position Announcement 2020).

The MDG Scholars Program will allow rising juniors and seniors a hands-on opportunity to learn about a state agency while learning more about higher education in North Carolina. We have expanded the MDG Scholars program from six weeks to eight weeks based on the feedback we received from scholars for the past two years. This is a great way for students to build their resume through a high-level internship opportunity. A stipend and housing at NCSU campus are a part of the program (2020 Marian Drane Graham Scholars Program).

The Presidential Scholar applications are due on January 28, 2020 and the Marian Drane Graham Scholar applications are due on February 5, 2020.
