Participants needed for research study in Department of Kinesiology

Sent on behalf of Michael Hoff, Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant, Department of Kinesiology

I am currently a graduate student in the biomechanics department here at ECU. My master’s thesis is examining the effect of quadriceps strength asymmetry and task demands on the biomechanical variables that are associated with ACL injuries. I need participants who have had ACL reconstructive surgery and are physically active. I also need healthy control participants who have not had any prior knee surgeries and are also physically active. My study is about 2 and a half hours long and will consist of several hopping trials, isokinetic dynamometer strength testing, and drop jumps off of boxes at various heights.

If you have any interest in participating in my study, please email me at hoffm18@students.ecu.edu.

Thanks,

Michael Hoff
