Free production of Native (3/24)

Don’t miss the one-night-only return performance of the play Native, produced by EbzB Productions, written by Ian Finley, a high school drama teacher in Raleigh. This Greenville performance is funded by the ECU Honors College.

Native dramatizes the collaboration between Native Son author Richard Wright and North Carolina/Broadway Pulitzer Prize playwright Paul Green as they adapted Wright’s novel for the stage. (As someone who has done extensive research on the collaboration dramatized in this play, I can attest to its historical accuracy.) The audience for this 2-man play witnesses difficult conversations about racism and white privilege enacted on the stage and can then participate in a Q&A afterwards.

FREE for students with a student ID, though they should get their tickets to assure themselves a seat. $10 for others. Details here: https://calendar.ecu.edu/event/native_a_play_by_ian_finley#.Xl6Z_ZNKii4
