COVID-19 is an international, national and North Carolina public health emergency. Rural areas can present challenges in terms of healthcare resources and workforce. Communities have rallied during this unprecedented time to work in innovative ways to combat the public health crisis. The 2021 Rural Health Symposium will showcase a session on the innovative projects being carried out in eastern NC in response to COVID-19.

This session will offer a prerecorded synopsis of each selected innovation, followed by a live panel Q&A session with the project leaders. Selected applicants must be available to present during this session on Thursday, February 25th, 2021.

Submissions are due October 16, 2020. Please see attached guidelines and form.

Completed forms or questions should be directed to Mary Stuart Peaks, MPH, CHES at peaksm19@ecu.edu.
