Pirates Vote & Citizen U

Pirates Vote is a non-partisan organization within the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement which works to bring programming to students that encourages them to be engaged in our democracy and to be active responsible citizens.  Programs include voter registration, education, and get out the vote campaigns, a film series, opportunities for civil dialogue such as Race in Our Space, a citizens’ academy (Citizen U) and many more!

A few of their programs are:

  • presidential debate watch parties
  • Dinner & Discourse – a safe space to discuss the selected topic for each month
  • Democracy Now! discussions

You can also take part in Citizen U, a virtual workshop series designed to educate students about how to be responsible, engaged citizens and to inspire them to be involved in their communities and our democracy.
