Undergraduate Summer Research opportunity at East Carolina University -- Biomedical Engineering in Simulations, Imaging and Modeling

Applications are now being accepted for the NSF-funded REU site on Biomedical Engineering in Simulations, Imaging, and Modeling (BME-SIM) here at ECU.

The summer program will take place from May 15th – July 24th on-campus.  Program participants will receive a $6,000 spend, on-campus housing, meal plan, travel to the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) annual meeting, and reimbursement of travel funds (dependent on need). Rising juniors and seniors, students from underrepresented groups, veterans, and students from academic institutions with limited research opportunities are encouraged to apply.  Applications from community college students who are transitioning to four-year institutions or within a semester from transferring are also encouraged to apply.  Qualifications include US Citizen or permanent resident, major in engineering, basic sciences, math, computer science or related disciplines, and strong academic record.

We are currently accepting applications. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

We encourage applicants to visit our REU program website for more details.  Information about the research projects, faculty mentors, and application instructions can be found on the website. Please direct any questions to Stacey A. Meardon, meardons@ecu.edu, or Zac Domire, domirez@ecu.edu.
