Applied Research Job Opportunities for Undergrad Students

The ECU Center for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering (CSE3 https://cet.ecu.edu/cse3/ ) has multiple current projects funded by the US   Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The projects aim  to reduce pollution, conserve water, and save energy through lean and green practices in the food and beverage processing, chemical manufacturing, and metal manufacturing and fabrication industries in North Carolina.

Currently, 2-3 applied real world research opportunities  are available for undergraduate students during the 2021-22 academic year.

 

Each  student is expected to work roughly 10hrs/week. Working days and hours can be arranged around the student’s schedule with the CSE3 Director, Dr. Tarek Abdel Salam. Sophomores and Juniors   are preferred. Freshman students will be considered if they have some prior experience.  Starting date could be as early as mid-August.
