ECU Water Scholars - Applications Due Sept. 13

NOVEL PROJECT IDEAS FROM ALL MAJORS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
The Water Scholars program provides funding to support your creative and innovative ideas for student projects related to water.
ECU’s Water Resources Center (WRC) is pleased to announce that the Fall 2021 request for student Water Scholars project proposals is now open!
Awards are expected to range from $500 – $2,000, though there is no limit to what can be requested.
This program provides funding to actively enrolled ECU students to engage in a wide range of activities that:
- Help to develop the “water community” at ECU,
- Provide new insights into our region’s water issues,
- Initiate or strengthen partnerships with communities,
- Engage ECU students or the broader public in water issues, or
- Create and share stories about how water impacts the people and places in eastern NC
The Water Scholars Program supports undergraduate and graduate students interested in seeking student-led, faculty-supervised creative, educational, and/or research activities. Each applicant must identify a faculty member who will serve as the project mentor.
Important Dates
- The submission deadline for the request is 13 September 2021 at 11:59 PM.
- Awards will be announced in late September.
