Searching for undergrad partner to work on 2 year project

The Department of Economics is searching for a motivated undergraduate partner to work with us, pending funding, on a two-year research project assessing the future economic impacts of climate change in coastal communities. The ideal candidate has strong GIS skills, any level of coding experience, and familiarity with quantitative data cleaning and statistical analysis. If the grant is secured, the project is estimated to begin in January 2022. Data products generated during the project will be made available to support the undergraduate’s thesis project, along with a small stipend.  If desired by the student, Dr. Greg Howard of the ECU Department of Economics can provide undergraduate mentorship.  If interested, please contact Jason Kops at kopsj11@students.ecu.edu.
